The purpose of the areas of city impact is to identify lands within the county where land use decisions are controlled by mutual agreement of an incorporated city and county through an area of city impact agreement. Such agreements shall be in compliance with the county comprehensive plan and any city comprehensive plan. It is within these areas that the county will encourage higher density residential, commercial and industrial uses. (Ord. 51, 9-2-2003)
