64 - ENFORCEMENT AND PENALTY
It shall be the duty of the chief of police of the city to enforce this title.

Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects, or refuses to comply with, or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this title shall, upon conviction, be subject to a penalty as provided in Chapter 1.16 of this code.

In case any building or structure is erected, constructed, reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted, or maintained, or, any building, structure or land is used in violation of this title, the building inspector, in addition to other remedies, may institute any proper action or proceedings in the name of the city of West Frankfort to prevent such unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance, or use; to restrain, correct or abate such violation; to prevent the occupancy of said building, structure or land; or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business or use in or about said premises.
