CHAPTER 1151

E-I Educational District

1151.01 PURPOSE.

   The purpose of the E-I Educational District is to provide an area for educational facilities and associated land uses. In an E-I Educational District no building or premises shall be used and no building shall be erected which is arranged, intended or designed to be used for other than one or more of the following specified uses.

1151.02 USES PERMITTED.

   (a)   Any uses permitted in the R-III District.
   (b)   Primary and secondary schools and uses or buildings necessary for their functioning and provided also that any building in which such uses are housed be located at least twenty-five (25) feet from any other lot in any Residential District.
   (c)   Technical schools and uses or buildings necessary for their functioning and provided also that any building in which such uses are housed be located at least twenty-five (25) feet from any other building in any Residential District.
   (d)   College buildings and uses of buildings necessary for their functioning and provided also that any building in which such uses are housed be located at least twenty-five (25) feet from any other lot in any Residential District.
   (e)   Fraternities, sororities and dormitories and provided also that any building in which such uses are housed be located at least twenty-five (25) feet from any other lot in any Residential District.
   (f)   Accessory buildings and uses.

1151.03 REQUIRED YARDS.

   (a)   Residential Uses. Each residential use in the E-I Educational District shall meet the minimum yard requirements of the R-III Residential District.
 
   (b)   Other Permitted Uses.  
 
 
Lot Area
- Minimum of 15,000 sq. ft.
Lot Width
- Minimum of 100 ft.
Front Yard
- Minimum of 30 ft.
Rear Yard
- Minimum of 40 ft.
Side Yard Least Width
- Minimum of 12 ft.

1151.04 CORNER LOTS.

   Corner lots shall have the same minimum front yard requirements on each street side of the lot, or can conform with the back sets of the adjacent properties.

1151.05 HEIGHT REGULATION.

   No structure shall exceed eighty (80) feet in height, except as provided in Chapter 1173.
