Any lots of record or platted and subdivided tracts of land within the corporate limits of the village which are being devoted to a lawful use pursuant to the zoning ordinance, as amended, in effect on the date of adoption of the zoning ordinance amendment of September, 1973, but which are nonconforming to the September, 1973 ordinance, may continue to be used for such purposes and uses, subject to the nonconforming use regulations provided in this zoning ordinance.
