“MR-2” MULTIPLE-FAMILY

RESIDENCE DISTRICT

§ 159.135 DISTRICT OUTLINE.

   The MR-2, Multiple-Family Residence, District is established to stabilize and conserve existing neighborhoods that predominantly consist of multiple-family dwellings and to promote the development of comparable new areas in order to accommodate all persons desiring this type of residential environment.

§ 159.136 LOT AND BUILDING REQUIREMENTS.

   Every principal building in the MR-2 District shall conform to the requirements indicated below. Detached single-family and two-family dwellings erected in the MR-2 District shall comply with all applicable regulations of the MR-2 District.

10,000 square feet, or 2,500 square feet per unit, whichever is greater

§ 159.137 PERMITTED USES.

   The following uses shall be permitted in the MR-2 Multiple-Family Residential District:
   (A)   Any use permitted in the MR-1 District under § 159.123 of this chapter; and
   (B)   Multiple-family dwellings.

§ 159.138 SPECIAL USES.

   The following uses may be allowed in the MR-2 District by special use permit in accordance with § 159.355 of this chapter:
   (A)   Churches and related religious facilities;
   (B)   Convenience shops (e.g., small drugstore, food store, laundromat);
   (C)   Government uses other than those of the city;
   (D)   Home occupations, but only in conformity with the requirements of § 159.242 of this chapter;
   (E)   Nursing homes;
   (F)   Quick shop, as defined in this chapter;
   (G)   Schools; and
   (H)   Utility substations.
