54 C-1 Conservancy Overlay Zoning District

§ 17.54.010 Description and purpose.

The C-1 conservancy overlay zoning district is intended to be used to prevent destruction of valuable natural or manmade resources and to protect water-courses including the shorelands of navigable waters, and areas that are not adequately drained, or which are subject to periodic flooding, where development would result in hazards to health and safety, or would deplete or destroy natural resources or be otherwise incompatible with the public welfare.

§ 17.54.020 Permitted uses.

Agricultural uses, provided that they do not involve extension of or creation of new drainage systems, and further provided that they do not substantially disturb or impair the natural fauna, flora, topography, or water regimen;

Forest and game management;

Forest reserves (wilderness areas);

Forest reserves (wildlife areas).

§ 17.54.030 Permitted accessory uses.

Structures used in or accessory to a fish hatchery;

Nonhabitable park or recreation shelters;

Structures used to traverse lowlands or watercourses.
