§ 3

Land Use Management District Boundaries.

3-100 
The district boundary lines shown on the L.U.M. District Maps are usually along street[s], alleys, property lines or extensions thereof. Where uncertainty exists as to the boundaries of districts as shown on the official L.U.M. Maps, the following rules shall apply.
3-101 
Boundaries indicated as approximately following the centerlines of streets, highways or alleys shall be construed to follow such centerlines.
3-102 
Boundaries indicated as approximately following platted lot lines shall be construed as following such lot lines.
3-103 
Boundaries indicated as approximately following city limits shall be construed as following city limits.
3-104 
Boundaries indicated as parallel to or extensions of features indicated in 3-101 through 3-103 above shall be so construed. Distances not specifically indicated on the original L.U.M. Maps shall be determined by the scale of the map.
3-105 
Whenever any street, alley or other public way is vacated by official action of the city, whenever area is franchised for building purposes, the L.U.M. district line adjoining each side of such street, alley or other public way shall be automatically extended to the centerline of such vacated street, alley or way and all areas so involved shall then and henceforth be subject to all regulations of the extended districts.

Where physical features on the ground are at variance with information shown on the official L.U.M. District Map or when there arises a question as to how or whether a parcel of property is managed and such question cannot be resolved by the application of subsections 3-101 through 3-105, the property shall be considered as classified R, Family Dwelling District temporarily in the same manner as provided for newly annexed territory and the issuance of a building permit and the determination of permanent management shall be in accordance with the provision provided in Section 4 for temporary managed areas.
