§ 8

Off-Street Parking.

8-100 
Off-street parking shall be provided on the lot or tract or on an immediately contiguous lot or tract sufficient to provide the following ratio of vehicle spaces for the uses specified in the districts designated.
8-101 
In the following zoning districts the minimum off-street parking spaces for residential uses shall be:
District
Parking Spaces
R-1 and R-2, One-Family, Multiple-Family
Modular and Manufactured Home
Two (2) spaces for each one-family dwelling unit. Four (4) spaces for each two-family dwelling.
Two (2) spaces for each apartment unit.
Two (2) spaces for each Modular or Manufactured Home
C, I and PD Districts
Two (2) spaces for each one-family dwelling unit. Four (4) spaces for each two-family dwelling.
Two (2) spaces for each apartment unit.
Other requirements in accordance with 8-102 Parking Space Schedule following.
8-102 
Parking Space Schedule, nonresidential uses in all districts:
(a) 
Bowling alley - Six (6) spaces for each lane.
(b) 
Churches - One (1) space for each four (4) seats in auditorium or sanctuary.
(c) 
Clinics or doctor’s offices - One (1) space for each two hundred fifty (250) square feet of floor area.
(d) 
Hospitals - One (1) space for each one (1) bed in the hospital.
(e) 
Hotel or motel - One (1) space for each room, unit or guest accommodation.
(f) 
Manufacturing, storage, processing, repairing and warehousing - One (1) space for each two (2) employees or one (1) space for each one thousand (1,000) square feet of floor area, whichever is the larger.
(g) 
Offices, general - One (1) space for each four hundred (400) square feet of floor area.
(h) 
Mortuary - One space for every two (2) persons to be normally accommodated by seating in chapel or service room.
(i) 
Recreational, private or commercial area building (other than listed) - One (1) space for every two (2) persons to be normally accommodated in the establishment.
(j) 
Restaurant or cafeteria - One (1) space for every four (4) seats under maximum seating arrangement.
(k) 
Retail or personal service - One (1) space for each two hundred (200) square feet of floor area.
(l) 
Theaters, meeting rooms and places of public assembly - One (1) space for every three (3) seats.
(m) 
Any unlisted nonresidential use shall provide off-street parking adequate to accommodate the normal parking demand generated by such use.
8-103 
Special Off-Street Parking Regulations:
(a) 
In computing the parking requirements for any building or development, the total parking requirements shall be the sum of the specific parking space requirements for each class of use included in the building or development.
(b) 
Any lights used to illuminate a parking area shall be so arranged as to reflect away from any adjacent residential uses or residential districts.
(c) 
The occupancy of a Recreational Vehicle (RV) parked a public street or private for more than seven (7) consecutive days on driveway [sic] is strictly prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person to occupy a Recreational Vehicle for more than seven (7) consecutive days unless the Recreational Vehicle is located in an RV Park or Manufactured Housing Community.
