For the purpose of this Zoning Code, the City is divided into the following districts:

   (a)   Zone A, Residential;

   (b)   Zone A-l, Residential;

   (c)   Zone A-2, Apartment;

   (d)   Zone A-3, Mobile Home Park;

   (e)   Zone B-l, Central Business District;

   (f)   Zone B-2, General Commercial;

   (g)   Zone C-1, Limited Commercial;

   (h)   Zone D-1, Industrial;

   (i)   Zone D-2, Industrial Park;

   (j)   Zone PUD, Planned Unit Development;

   (k)   Zone HD, Historic District;

   (l)   [Reserved];

   (m)   Zone M-I, Medical-Institutional; and

   (n)   Zone CCO, Commercial Corridor Overlay.

   The map entitled Zoning Map delineating the districts set forth in Section 1244.01 is hereby declared to be a part of this Zoning Code. Except where references by dimensions are shown on said map, the district boundary lines follow lot lines, Municipal boundary lines, section lines, fractional section lines or the center lines of highways, streets or alleys as they existed at the time of the adoption of this Zoning Code.

   Where a district boundary line of the Zoning Map divides a lot, the lot shall be zoned in the classification in which a majority of the area is located.

   Any area which is annexed to the City shall be considered to be in the A-1, Residential District. The City Council shall, promptly after annexation, request the City Planning Commission to make a recommendation on the appropriate zoning classification of the annexed area. The City Planning Commission shall initiate amendment procedures as provided for in this Zoning Code if it determines that the annexed area should be in a district other than A-1 Residential.
