Any person or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance, or fail to comply therewith or with any of the requirements thereof, or shall fail to obtain a permit as required herein, or who shall place, display, erect, build, add onto, or alter any building, structure, sign, or surface in violation of any detailed statement or plan or specification submitted and approved hereunder, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than $2,000.00, and each day each such violation shall be permitted to continue shall constitute a separate and new offense. The owner, tenant or person having control or rights of control of any building or premises or part thereof, where anything is a violation of this ordinance shall be placed, or shall exist, or any person, architect, builder, contractor, subcontractor, corporation, director, officer, agent, servant, or employee who may have assisted in the commission of any such violation, shall be guilty of a separate offense and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined as provided herein.
