Lewiston Village City Zoning Code

Sec. 5

Interpretation of the district boundaries.

A.

Where uncertainty exists with respect to the boundaries of any of the aforementioned districts as shown on this zoning map, the following rules shall apply:

1.

Where district boundaries are indicated as approximately following lot lines, such lot lines shall be construed to be said boundaries.

2.

Where district boundaries are indicated as being approximately parallel to the center lines or right-of-way lines of streets or highways, such district boundaries shall be construed as being parallel thereto and at such distances therefrom as indicated on the zoning map. If no distance is given, such dimension shall be determined by the use of the scale shown on said zoning map.

3.

Where the boundary of a district follows a body of water, said boundary line shall be deemed to be at the limit of the jurisdiction of the village unless otherwise indicated.

4.

Where the boundary line of the district follows a railroad line, such boundary shall be deemed to be the boundary line of the railroad right-of-way nearest the district bounded.

5.

Where district boundaries are indicated as approximately following the center lines of streets or highways, street lines or highway right-of-way lines, such center lines, street lines or highway right-of-way lines shall be construed to be such boundaries.

6.

Distances shown on the zoning map are perpendicular or radial distances from street lines measured back to the zone boundary line, which lines, in all cases where distances are given, are parallel to the street line.
