Swimming pools shall be subject to the requirements of Chapter 12.36 and shall not be constructed in any required front yard or closer than five feet to any rear lot line or side line. On the street side of any corner lot, where the rear lot line abuts a side lot line, no pool shall be located closer than ten feet to such side lot line.

All sound producing equipment, such as filters, pumps and motors, for such pools shall be contained in a soundproof enclosure. No pool shall occupy over forty percent of the required rear yard. A swimming pool shall not be considered in measuring maximum lot coverage unless actually covered by a roof. All pools shall be enclosed as required by the code.
