Front Yard Parking Regulations
§ 300-142 Findings.
The parking of vehicles in the front yards of residential lots is detrimental to the beneficial enjoyment of one's property and district and to the conservation of the value of buildings and the encouragement of the most appropriate uses of land. Parking of vehicles in the front yards of residential lots is harmful to the safety and general welfare of the community.
§ 300-143 Definitions.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the following meanings indicated:
For any property zoned residential in the Township of Nether Providence, that portion of the lot extending from the front of the structure to the street line, excluding any driveways paved with asphalt, masonry or similar hardened surface specifically intended for the parking of vehicles. For purposes of this article only, in the case of a corner lot, the yards extending along any streets are front yards.
One or more automobiles, buses, motorcycles, campers, mopeds, trailers, boats or other similar vehicles.
§ 300-144 Front yard parking prohibited; enforcement.
A.
The parking of any vehicle in the front yard or sidewalk of any lot zoned residential in the Township of Nether Providence is strictly prohibited.
B.
The Code Enforcement Officer and/or Zoning officer is hereby authorized to issue violation notices to any person found in violation of this article.
