ORDINANCE TO REPEAL THE EXISTING TITLE 18 (ANNEXATION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE) IN ITS ENTIRETY AND ADOPT A NEW TITLE 18 (ANNEXATION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE OF THE CITY OF RENO), OF THE RENO MUNICIPAL CODE; TOGETHER WITH MATTERS WHICH PERTAIN TO OR ARE NECESSARILY CONNECTED THEREWITH.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENO DO ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Title 18 (Annexation and Land Development) of the Reno Municipal Code is hereby replaced in its entirety with the Title 18 (Annexation and Land Development Code of the City of Reno) depicted in Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage, adoption and publication in one issue of a newspaper printed and published in the City of Reno.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk and Clerk of the City Council of the City of Reno is hereby authorized and directed to have this Ordinance published in one issue of the Reno-Gazette Journal, a newspaper printed and published in the City of Reno.
SECTION 4. The provisions of this ordinance shall be liberally construed to effectively carry out its purposes in the interest of the public health, safety, and welfare.
SECTION 5. Should any chapter, article, section, clause, or provision of this Title be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, the decision shall not affect the validity of the title as a whole or any part thereof other than the part declared to be unconstitutional or invalid.
SECTION 6. The Reno City Council hereby finds that this ordinance is not subject to the requirements of Chapter 237 of NRS, Business Impact Statement process.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of January, 2021, by the following vote of the Council:
AYES: Brekhus, Reese, Duerr, Delgado, Weber, Jardon, Schieve
