A party seeking to annex property into the City will request a zoning classification for the property upon filing an application to annex into the city's municipal boundaries. The requested zoning classification will be reviewed by the City for consistency with the Comprehensive Plan, as well as the character of zoning in the area surrounding and abutting the subject property. The requested zoning classification will be reviewed by the Plan Commission and the City Council in accordance with the provisions of this Code. A property that is annexed without requesting a zoning classification will be zoned R-1, One-Unit Residence Zoning District. (Ord. 070-2020, 12-21-2020)
