CHAPTER 15

ZONING PERMITS

12-15-1: REQUIRED:

No person shall undertake any construction or change of use for which a site plan review is not required without first obtaining a zoning permit from the city. The purpose of the zoning permit is to confirm that the proposed construction or use of the property is in compliance with the requirements of this title. (Ord. 518, 6-10-2008)

12-15-2: APPLICATION:

   A.    The zoning permit application shall contain the following information:
      1.    A site plan that meets the requirements of section 12-9-5 of this title.
      2.    An explanation of the proposed change in use or proposed construction. (Ord. 518, 6-10-2008)

12-15-3: COMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION OR USE:

If the commencement of construction or the change of use does not commence within six (6) months of the issuance of the zoning permit, the permit shall be void. (Ord. 518, 6-10-2008)

12-15-4: PENALTY:

Failure to obtain a zoning permit when required by this chapter, or use of the property in violation of a zoning permit, is a misdemeanor. (Ord. 518, 6-10-2008)
