It is the purpose of this overlay district to allow off-premises signs in the area along the interstate highway and visible from the highway, where such signs are most suitable, and least detrimental, while preserving the underlying zoning of the properties. It is also the intent of this overlay district to subject the placement, size, construction, and maintenance of off-premises signs to reasonable regulations to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the community.

All off-premises signs located in the I-78 Commercial Billboard Overlay District are subject to compliance with § 460-83I of this Part 1, which is incorporated by reference.
