A. Industrial uses of all types which require both buildings and open areas for manufacturing, fabrication, processing, extraction, heavy repairing, dismantling, storage or disposal of equipment, raw materials, manufactured products or wastes and provided the use conforms to the following performance standards:
1. Smoke: No smoke is emitted of a density greater than no. 1 according to the Ringelmann's scale, except that smoke of a density not in excess of no. 2 of Ringelmann's scale shall be permitted for a period not in excess of six (6) minutes in any hour.
2. Fly Ash: No particles from any flue or smokestack shall exceed two-tenths (0.2) grain per cubic foot of the blue gas at a stack temperature of five hundred degrees Fahrenheit (500°F).
3. Dust: No dust of any kind produced by the industrial operations shall be permitted to escape beyond the confines of the building in which it is produced.
4. Odor: No noxious odor of any kind shall be permitted to extend beyond the lot lines.
5. Gases And Fumes: No gases or fumes, toxic to persons or injurious to property shall be permitted to escape beyond the building in which they occur.
6. Vibration: No intense earthshaking vibrations shall be created or maintained by any industry beyond the boundary lines of the tract on which it is located.
7. Noise And Sound: A maximum of seventy (70) decibels at the property line is permitted. Noise is required to be muffled so as not to become objectionable due to intermittence, beat, frequency or shrillness. Sound may equal but not exceed street traffic noise in the vicinity during a normal shift work period.
8. Livestock: Raising of cattle and livestock, so long as commercial feeding is not conducted and conditions do not exist which would cause offensive and undesirable odors or conditions which amount to a nuisance.
B. Feed and fuel stores, lumberyards, machine shops and trailer courts are specifically permitted in industrial districts.
C. Animal Shelters, so long as there is not another Animal Shelter within a five (5) mile radius. A facility operated by a humane society. or other nonprofit organization for the purpose of sheltering, caring for, and finding homes for lost, stray, abandoned, or surrendered animals. An animal shelter may provide veterinary care, spaying and neutering services, and adoption programs but does not include private kennels, pet stores. or animal breeding facilities.
D. Uses permitted in the C commercial district, except dwellings or dwelling units, unless they are allowed as a conditional use.
E. Uses customarily incidental to any of the above named uses and accessory buildings when located on the same lot.
