The Township Board may from time to time, on recommendation of the Planning Commission or on petition, amend, supplement or change the zoning classification and/or District Boundaries now or hereafter in effect, or the Township Board may from time to time, on recommendation of the Planning Commission, amend, supplement or change the regulations herein, or subsequently established herein, pursuant to the authority and procedure established in Act 110 of the Public Acts of 2006, as may be amended, previously Act 184 of the Public Acts of 1943, as amended.
The Planning Commission may initiate the process to amend, supplement or change a zoning classification and/or District Boundaries or regulations herein on its own action. The Township Board may initiate the process to amend, supplement or change a zoning classification and/or District Boundaries or regulations herein, by transmitting its request in writing to the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission shall follow the procedures to hold a public hearing and recommend any zoning classification or District Boundary change or change in regulations upon its own initiation, or after petition by the property owner for a change in zoning classification or District Boundaries for the property owner's property, or after written request by the Township Board.
