A swimming pool, hot tub, or Jacuzzi maintained on or in any lot within the city shall be completely surrounded by a fence, wall or structure at least four (4) feet high with no openings or gaps except gates. Any gates must be kept closed when not in use and must be equipped with latches in operating condition which only operate from the inside of the gate, or which are locked when such facilities are not in use. For purposes of this ordinance, the term “swimming pool” is hereby defined as a receptacle for water or an artificial pool of water having a depth at any point of more than two (2) feet, intended for the purpose of immersion or partial immersion therein of human beings, and including all appurtenant equipment.
