Sec. 16-1-290

Violations and penalties.

(a)

Any person, corporation or other entity, whether as principal agent, employee or otherwise, who violates any of the provisions of this Chapter, shall be fined not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each offense, such fine to inure to the Town. Each day of the existence of any violation shall be deemed a separate offense.

(b)

The erection, construction, enlargement, conversion, moving or maintenance of any building or structure and the use of any land or building which is continued, operated or maintained contrary to any provisions of this Chapter is hereby declared to be a violation of this Chapter and unlawful. Upon receipt of a signed complaint by any citizen or the Building Inspector, and upon receipt of instructions to proceed from the Board of Trustees, the Town Attorney shall institute injunction, abatement or other appropriate action to prevent, enjoin, abate or remove such violation. Such action may also be instituted by any property owner who may be affected by a violation of this Chapter.

(c)

The remedy provided for herein shall be cumulative and not exclusive and shall be in addition to any other remedies provided by law.
