Residential Estate RE-1, RE-2 District.
(a)
Purpose. Residential Estate Districts (RE-1, RE-2) are designated for low-density residential use on a lot that is a minimum of one (1) acre in the RE-1 zone and two (2) acres in the RE-2 zone. The purpose of Residential Estate Districts is to ensure that proposed land uses and development are compatible in their use, character and size to the site and the surrounding areas and are based on the Town's Master Land Use Plan; and to encourage patterns of urban development that provide a full range of housing choices and promote a sense of community and the efficient provision of infrastructure.
(b)
Allowed uses. See the Residential Use Matrix, Table 16-1 of this Article.
(c)
Dimensional standards. The residential dimensional standards within the RE-1 and RE-2 Districts are outlined in Table 16-2 of this Article.
