(a)

Purpose. The purpose of the Single-Family Residential Districts (R-1, R-1-12, R-1-20) is to provide areas for low to medium density, single-family uses that provide a buffer between low density and higher density multi-family development. Minimum lot size requirements are provided in order to allow for market and design flexibility while preserving neighborhood character.

Allowed uses. See the Residential Use Matrix, Table 16-1, of this Article.

Dimensional standards. The residential dimensional standards within the R-1, R-1-12, R-1-20 Districts are outlined in Table 16-2 of this Article.
