165.11 R-2

RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.

   1.   Purpose. The R-2 (Residential) District is designed to provide areas of medium density housing and for transitional uses.
   2.   Permitted Uses. Principal permitted uses in the R-2 District are as follows:
      A.   Any use permitted in the R-1 District.
      B.   Two-family dwellings.
      C.   Day nursery, nursery school, or day care facilities (private or public).
   3.   Permitted Accessory Uses. Permitted accessory uses in the R-2 District are as follows:
      A.   Accessory uses as permitted in the R-1 District.
      B.   Other accessory uses and structures, not otherwise prohibited, and customarily accessory and incidental to any principal permitted use.
   4.   Height Regulations. Height regulations in the R-2 District are as follows:
      A.   Principal Uses. Three stories or 40 feet, whichever is lower.
      B.   Accessory Uses. One story or 18 feet, whichever is lower.
   5.   Area regulations. The minimum regulations that shall be observed in the R-2 District are set out in Table 165.11.
