Notes:
(1)Bituminous stabilized base course may be substituted for gravel base course on a 1 inch to 3 inch ratio.
(2)If subgrade is approved as adequate by the engineer, gravel base course may be completely eliminated and bituminous stabilized base course may be substituted on a 1 inch to 3 inch ratio.
(3)Gravel base course may be reduced to 3 inch minimum if subbase is provided.
(4)Subbase may be required depending on subgrade soils, ground water elevations and other variables.
(5)Portions of parking areas and aisles likely to be subjected to significant heavy truck traffic shall meet the standards for local streets.
