SECTION 5

- Industrial districts.

I-1: Light Industrial.

5.100. District; designation and intent: Industrial uses that engage in light manufacturing and processing not considered dangerous to nearby residential or commercial areas. No residential uses, aside from caretaker/watchman quarters, are allowed in this district.

5.101. Permitted principal uses and structures: Wholesale sales, warehousing, heating and air conditioning service; sheet metal shops, and manufacturing uses. Other similar uses to all of the above not listed herein but deemed compatible by the Franklinton Zoning Commission and the Board of Aldermen.

5.103. Special exception uses and structures: None.

5.104. Minimum lot requirements (area and width): Area five thousand (5,000) square feet.

5.105. Minimum yard requirements: Front yard—Twenty (20) feet. No other yard requirements.

5.106. Transportation systems: State or parish road. Major street.

5.107. Height restriction: None.

I-2: Heavy Industrial.

6.200. District; designation and intent: This district is for major industrial uses. All industries must have a plan for landscaping (per Ordinance #934, Code of Ordinances, Town of Franklinton).

6.201. Permitted principal uses and structures: Large industrial and manufacturing businesses. Other similar uses to the above deemed compatible by the Zoning Commission and the Board of Aldermen.

6.301. Special exception uses and structures: None.

6.401. Transportation system: State or parish road. Major street.

6.501. Height restriction: None.
