- LEGAL STATUS PROVISIONS
Whenever the regulations of this Chapter require a greater width or size of yards or require a greater percentage of lot to be left unoccupied or impose other more restrictive standards than are required in or under any other statute, the requirements of these regulations shall govern. Whenever the provisions of any other statute require more restrictive standards than are required by this Chapter, the provisions of such statute shall govern.
Should any section or provision of this Chapter be declared by the courts to be unconstitutional or invalid, such declaration shall not affect any other portion or provision of this Chapter.
This revised Ordinance repeals all previous City of LaFayette Zoning Ordinances and amendments thereto.
This Chapter is adopted by the Mayor and City Council of LaFayette, Georgia, and becomes effective this 14th day of October, 1974. The regulations of this chapter shall be in effect except where a building permit has been granted prior to the effective date of this chapter, and the same remains valid under the Zoning Ordinance in effect immediately prior to the effective date hereof, and such building authorized by such permit shall continue to be governed by said Ordinance until the building is completed or the building permit becomes invalid.
