CHAPTER 9

236 OPEN SPACE CONSERVATION DISTRICT

§ 9.236.010 Purpose.

The purpose of the open space conservation district is to provide for the preservation of regionally significant open space lands.

§ 9.236.020 Permitted uses.

The following principal uses are permitted subject to the approval of a site development permit per Chapter 9.184:
A. 
Regional parks;
B. 
Local parks;
C. 
National forests;
D. 
Public/private roads;
E. 
Riding and hiking trails;
F. 
Bikeways.

§ 9.236.030 Accessory uses permitted.

The following accessory uses and structures are permitted when customarily associated with and subordinate to a permitted principal use on the same building site:
A. 
Restrooms;
B. 
Information centers;
C. 
Maintenance buildings;
D. 
Riding and hiking trails;
E. 
Ranger stations;
F. 
Parking lots per Chapter 9.168.
G. 
Signs per Chapter 9.164.
H. 
Accessory uses and structures which the Director finds consistent with the purpose and intent of this district.

§ 9.236.040 Prohibited uses.

The following uses are specifically prohibited:
A. 
Use of chain-link fence except during construction;
B. 
All uses not expressly permitted above.

§ 9.236.050 Site development standards.

A. 
Building Site Area. Two acres minimum.
B. 
Building Height. Eighteen feet maximum measured per Section 9.144.050.
C. 
Building Site Coverage. Ten percent maximum.
D. 
Off-Street Parking. Per Chapter 9.168.
E. 
Building Setbacks. All buildings, structures and off-street parking facilities shall be set back a minimum of 50 feet from any public or private street.
