52 - BUILDING PERMITS

19.52.010 - Required.

A.

No building or structure shall, after the enactment of this title, be erected, added to or altered until a permit therefore has been issued by the building official.

B.

All applications for such permits shall be in accordance with the requirements of this title, and any and all applicable and ordained building codes. Except where a variance has been regularly authorized by the board of adjustment, no permit shall be issued for erection, addition to, or structural alteration of any building in violation of the provisions of this title.

19.52.020 - Plan to accompany application.

There shall be submitted with every application for a building permit one copy of a plat or plan, drawn to scale, showing the actual dimensions of the lot to be built upon, the exact size and location of the building and accessory buildings erected or to be erected thereon, with relation to the sidelines of the lot, if applicable, an approved department of environmental conservation wastewater disposal permit, and such other information as may be necessary to determine and provide for the enforcement of this title.

19.52.030 - Records.

The building official shall make and maintain a complete record of all permits issued, and copies thereof shall be furnished upon request to any person having proprietary interest or tenancy interest in the building or premises affected, upon such person first paying a fee to be commensurate with the cost of preparing and issuing such copies.
