24: - EQUESTRIAN CENTERS
This section establishes land use standards for review of development of equestrian centers, which are allowed in the Low Density (LD) Zone District only.
The following restrictions shall apply to all equestrian centers:
5-2401A.
The Planning Commission may limit the number of horses that may be boarded at an equestrian center and the number of allowed parking spaces based on the carrying capacity of the site and compatibility with adjacent uses;
5-2401B.
Restaurants and/or cooking facilities shall be prohibited;
5-2401C.
Any noise source, including any outdoor public address system, which could adversely impact neighboring residential or agricultural uses may be prohibited;
5-2401D.
The County Environmental Health Specialist shall designate and enforce appropriate manure storage and removal and insect control provisions on a site-specific basis; and
5-2401E.
No development may commence until the Board of County Commissioners has approved a landscaping and revegetation plan for the facility, in accordance with Section 4-210 of this Code.
