Definitions.
For the purpose of interpreting this section, certain words used herein are defined as follows:
Building line.
The words "building line" shall be line beyond which buildings must be set back from the street and/or property line.
Engineer.
A person duly authorized under the provisions of the Texas Engineering Registration Act, as heretofore or hereafter amend, to practice the profession of engineering.
Lot.
An undivided tract or parcel of land having frontage on a public street and designated as a distinct and separate tract, which is, or in the future may be offered for sale, conveyance, transfer, or improvement as a building site.
Subdivision.
The word "subdivision" or "addition" shall be any division of any tract or parcel of land into two (2) or more lots or sites for the purpose, whether immediate or future, of sale or of building development. It also concludes resubdivision or replatting of land, lots, or tracts. Division of land for agricultural purpose, in parcels of five (5) acres or more shall not be included within the definition, unless any such division of five (5) acres or more includes the planning or development of a new street or access easement.
Surveyor.
A licensed stale surveyor or a registered public surveyor as authorized by the state statues to practice the profession of surveying.
