§ 20 MU

MIXED USE DISTRICT.

20.1 
General Purpose and Description.
The Mixed Use (MU) District is established to accommodate two or more distinct uses within an area. This may take the form of multiple uses within a single building (vertical mixed use) or multiple uses within separate buildings within a single parcel or group of parcels (horizontal mixed use). The uses shall be generally compatible with one another and create synergy or efficiencies not typically achieved through singular uses. The following regulations shall be applicable to all uses in the district:
20.1.1 
The business shall be conducted wholly within an enclosed building; and
20.1.2 
Required yards shall not be used for the storage of vehicles, equipment, containers, or waste material.
20.2 
Permitted Uses.
A building or premises in the Mixed-Use District shall be used only for uses as listed in Section 23 of this ordinance.
20.3 
Uses Allowed with a Specific Use Permit.
Uses listed as requiring a Specific Use Permit in Section 23 of this ordinance shall be permitted in the Mixed-Use District, when granted in accordance with Section 26.
20.4 
Height and Area Regulations.
See Appendix 1, Area, Setback, Height, and Coverage Regulations.
20.5 
Parking Regulations.
Off-street parking and loading shall be provided as set forth in Section 27.
