In order to classify, regulate and restrict the location of trades and industries, and the location of buildings designed for specified uses, to regulate and limit the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered; to regulate and limit the intensity of the use of lot areas, and to regulate and determine the area of yards, courts, and other open spaces within the surrounding such buildings, the City is hereby divided into nine classes of zoning districts. The use, height and area regulations are uniform in each class of zoning district and said districts shall be known as:
1. “R-1” Single-family Residential District.
2. “R-2” Low Density Multi-family Residential District
3. “R-3” Multi-family Residential District.
4. “E-1” Single-family Rural Estate District.
5. “C-1” Traditional Central Business District.
6. “C-2” Highway/Auto-Oriented Business District.
7. “M-l” Light Industrial District.
8. “A-1” Existing Agricultural District.
9. “A-2” Agriculture/Residential District.
