The board of adjustment shall serve as the board for appeals for all of the applicable city construction safety codes.

In order to protect the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the city, the construction related safety standards/codes and Florida Statues listed below, as published by the Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., the National Electrical Code and State of Florida are adopted by reference and made a part of these Land Development Regulations.

The construction safety standards/codes hereby adopted by the city include the following:

2007 Florida Building Code as adopted by the state.

2007 Florida Building Code Test Protocols for High Velocity Hurricane Codes as adopted by the state.

3.

2007 Florida Building Code Plumbing as adopted by the state amended from time to time.

4.

2007 Florida Building Code Fuel & Gas as adopted by the state.

5.

2007 Florida Building Code Mechanical as adopted by the state.

6.

2007 Florida Fire Prevention Code as adopted by the state.

7.

2008 Edition of The National Electric Code as adopted by the state.

8.

2009 International Property Maintenance Code published by the International Code Council as adopted by the state.
