ARTICLE II

Districts And Boundaries

Section 405.050 General.

In order to classify, regulate, and restrict the location of trades, industries, and the location of buildings designed for specified uses, to regulate and limit the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered, to regulate and limit the intensity of the use of lot areas, and to regulate and determine the areas of yards, courts, and other open spaces within and surrounding such buildings, the City of Milan, Missouri, is hereby divided into seven (7) classes of districts. The use, height, and area regulations are uniform in each class of district, and said districts shall be known as:
"O-P"
Open Areas
"R-1"
Single-Family Residential District
"R-2"
Multiple-Family Residential District
"CBD"
Central Business District
"CD"
Commercial District
"I"
Industrial District
"MP"
Manufactured Home Park District

Section 405.060 Zoning District Map.

The boundaries of these districts are indicated upon the Zoning District Map of the City of Milan, Missouri, the map is made a part of this Chapter by reference. The said Zoning District Map and all the notations, references, and other matters shown thereon, shall be as much a part of this Chapter as if the notations, references, and other matters set forth by said map were all fully described herein; the original of which is properly attested and is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Milan, Missouri.

Section 405.070 Interpretation Of District Boundaries.

The district boundaries are either lot lines, or the center lines of streets and alleys unless otherwise shown, and where the districts' designated area bounded approximately by street, alley, or lot lines, and are not dimensioned otherwise, the lot lines or center lines of streets and alleys shall be construed to be the boundary of the district.
