ARTICLE VII

"CBD" Central Business District

Section 405.340 Regulations.

The regulations set forth in this Article or elsewhere in this Chapter which are applicable, shall apply in the "CBD" Central Business District.

Section 405.350 Use Regulations.

A. 
A building or premises shall be used only for the following purposes. The fact that a structure, use, or permission is not mentioned shall not be interpreted to mean that it is allowed.
1. 
Principal Permitted Uses.
a. 
Shops for sale of goods and products at retail, including gasoline service stations.
b. 
Shops for repair and servicing of electrical, radio, and television appliances, bicycles, and similar articles.
c. 
Laundry, dry cleaning, shoe repair, tailoring, dressmaking, and similar trade.
d. 
Banks, offices, and studios.
e. 
Personal service shops, such as barbershops and beauty parlors.
f. 
Animal hospitals and clinics where there are no open kennels on yards.
g. 
Parking lots and storage garages.
h. 
Theaters.
i. 
Heating, plumbing, sheet metal, and electrical shops.
j. 
Auto service garages, new and used car lots.
k. 
Farm implement sales and repair shops.
l. 
Ballrooms, billiard parlors, pool halls, and bowling alleys.
m. 
Restaurants, cafes, and soda fountains.
n. 
Lumber yards, carpenter, and cabinet shops.
o. 
Hotels, motels and auto courts.
p. 
Outdoor advertising signs.
q. 
Wholesale business or storage warehouse.
r. 
Single- or multi-family dwelling units, except on the ground or street level of the building.
2. 
Conditional Uses. The following uses are allowed in the "CBD" Central Business District, subject to conditions established by the Planning and Zoning Commission to minimize the emission of noise, odor, dust, and vibrations::
a. 
Dairy products manufacturing.
b. 
Commercial bakeries.
c. 
Cleaning, dyeing, and laundry works.
d. 
Food and fiber products manufacturing.
e. 
Sign painting shops.
f. 
Truck terminals, trailer, and truck services.
g. 
Wood products manufacturing.
h. 
Other uses similar to the above in accordance with requirements shown within the Article entitled Board of Adjustment.
3. 
Accessory Uses.
a. 
Accessory uses permitted in the "R-2" District.
b. 
Accessory uses and structures that are customarily incidental to any permitted principal use.

Section 405.360 Height Regulations.

No building shall exceed three (3) stories or thirty-five (35) feet in height.
