58 - FEES

17.58.010 - Establishment.

A.

The city council shall establish a schedule of fees, charges and expenses for zoning certificates, occupancy certificates, appeals, application for amendments or special use, and other matters pertaining to this title. The schedule of fees shall be posted in the office of the city clerk and may be altered or amended only by the city council.

B.

Until all applicable fees, legal fees, charges and expenses have been paid in full by the petitioner, no action shall be taken on any application or appeal. Costs incurred for the official count reporter who transcribes a matter pending before the plan commission or zoning board of appeals shall be paid by the petitioner whose matter was under consideration prior to any action being taken by the city council on the petitioner's request.

17.58.020 - Planned unit development fee.

A.

Any person requesting a hearing before the plan commission for the consideration by that body of a recommendation regarding the granting by the city council of a planned unit development shall pay to the city clerk, as a fee for such hearing, the sum of fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00). If a continuance of a scheduled hearing is necessary, the continued hearing shall take place only after the petitioner reimburses the city for all expenses incurred in conducting a continued hearing. The provisions of Section 17.58.010B of the Palos Hills Municipal Code shall apply to this section.

B.

The plan commission shall not be required to grant a continuance to a petitioner unless the petitioner presents a substantial reason for the requested postponement of the hearing.
