39 - I-3 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT

20.39.010 - Intent of district.

The I-3 district is designed to provide for light industrial and commercial uses, including light manufacturing, warehousing, assembly, packaging, distribution, wholesaling, and processing activities, conducted fully within an enclosed building. It is intended for light industrial operations or intensive commercial uses that are limited in nature and size, and which are not detrimental to the surrounding area, or to the community as a whole, due to unreasonable noise, dust, smoke, odor, traffic, vibration, physical appearance, or other similar factors.

A.

Existing Residences. Existing owner-occupied residences, excluding mobile home and home occupations, shall comply with the provisions of the R-1 residential district.

20.39.020 - Permitted uses.

A.

Professional and business offices.

B.

Construction or contractor firms (plumbing, electrical, etc.).

C.

Stormwater management facilities, including but not limited to retention ponds or any stormwater management structures as required by city ordinance or the State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources' rules and regulations

20.39.030 - Conditional uses.

A.

Screened outdoor storage of materials/equipment, when related to a permitted use.

B.

Processing, light manufacturing, assembly, packaging, distribution, wholesaling, and/or storage, subject to the limits noted in the "intent" paragraph above.
