CHAPTER 3

ZONING DISTRICTS; BOUNDARIES

11-3-1: DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED:

The following zoning districts are hereby established for the zoning jurisdictional area of the City. For the interpretation of this Title, the zoning districts have been formulated to realize the general purposes as set forth herein. The districts shall be named and designated as follows:

11-3-2: INTERPRETATIONS OF BOUNDARIES:

Where uncertainty exists as to the boundaries of districts as shown on the Official Zoning Map, the boundaries shall be interpreted as following the nearest logical line to that shown.
   A.   Boundaries indicated as approximately following the center line of streets, highways, or alleys shall be construed to follow such center lines;
   B.   Boundaries indicated as approximately following platted lot lines shall be construed as following such lot lines;
   C.   Boundaries indicated as approximately following City limits shall be construed as following such City limits;
   D.   Boundaries indicated as following railroad lines shall be construed to be midway between the main track(s);
   E.   Boundaries indicated as following the center line of streams, rivers, canals, or ditches shall be construed to follow such center lines;
   F.   Boundaries indicated as parallel to or extensions of features indicated on the Official Zoning Map shall be construed to follow such center lines;
   G.   Where physical or cultural features existing on the ground are at variance with those shown on the Official Zoning Map or where other circumstances or controversy arise over district boundaries, the City Council shall interpret the district boundary. (Ord. 203, 12-9-1983)
