Much of the land surrounding the existing City limits and within the City's jurisdictional boundary is used for agricultural purposes. This designation reflects this important activity. The purpose being to encourage continued agricultural use of the land and discourage random subdivision and development activity far from community support facilities (i.e., sewer and water).
