CHAPTER 17

60 - ENFORCEMENT AND PENALTY

17.60.010 - Complaints regarding violations.

Whenever a violation of this title occurs, or is alleged to have occurred, any person may file a written complaint. Such complaint stating fully the causes and basis thereof shall be filed with the director of planning. The director shall record properly such complaints, investigate and take action thereon as provided by this title. The record of complaint shall be available to board of county commissioners and planning commission members. (Ord. 269 (part), 2002)

17.60.020 - Violation—Penalty.

A.

Violation of the provisions of this title or failure to comply with any of its requirements shall constitute a misdemeanor. Any person who violates this title or fails to comply with any of its requirements shall upon conviction thereof be fined or imprisoned for not more than thirty days, or both, and in addition shall pay all costs and expenses involved in the case. Each day such violation continues shall be considered a separate offense.

B.

The owner or tenant of any building, structure, premises, or part thereof, and any architect, builder, contractor, agent or other person who commits, participates in, assists in, or maintains such violations may each be found guilty of a separate offense and suffer the penalties provided in this section.

C.

Nothing contained in this title shall prevent the county from taking such other lawful action as is necessary to prevent or remedy any violation, or to bring an action to enjoin any violation of this title. (Ord. 269 (part), 2002)
