Sections:
The following uses of land or buildings are permitted:
(1)
Any use permitted in the B2 district;
(2)
Air-conditioning and heating sales and service shops;
(3)
Amusement establishments—bowling alleys, pool halls, dancehalls, skating rinks and other similar places of recreation;
(4)
Auction rooms;
(5)
Automobile accessory stones;
(6)
Automobile sales and service shops, including painting, upholstering and repairing, but not the painting or repairing of trucks in excess of one and one-half ton capacity, and including auto parts sales as an activity accessory to the principal use;
(7)
Automobile service stations;
(8)
Blueprinting and Photostatting establishments;
(9)
Boat showrooms, sales and service;
(10)
Catering establishments;
(11)
Costume mental shops;
(12)
Cutting of glass, mirror, and glazing establishments;
(13)
Exterminating shops;
(14)
Garages, public, for storage of private passenger automobiles and commercial vehicles not exceeding one and one-half tons capacity;
(15)
Greenhouses, for retail trade only;
(16)
Hotels and motels, including restaurants and meeting rooms;
(17)
Meeting halls;
(18)
Motorcycle and motor bikes, sales and service;
(19)
Pet shops, including animal hospitals, when conducted wholly within an enclosed building; provided there are no objectionable odors or noises;
(20)
Physical culture and health services;
(21)
Plumbing and heating showrooms and service shops;
(22)
Printing and publishing of newspapers, periodicals, books and including letter process work;
(23)
Radio and television broadcasting stations;
(24)
Reserved;
(25)
Taxidermists;
(26)
Telephone exchanges, repeater stations, micro-wave relay towers and stations, mobile transmitting towers and stations, antenna towers and other outdoor equipment essential to the operation of the exchange in the interest of public convenience and necessity, and including business office in conjunction therewith;
(27)
Theaters, indoor;
(28)
Accessory uses, including off-street parking and loading facilities as permitted or required in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 18.44.

The regulations governing height and setbacks in the B1 business district shall apply in the B3 business district.

The special uses and the regulations governing special uses in the B2 district shall apply in the B3 district, except that hotels, motels, meeting halls and automobile laundries are permitted special uses in the B3 district.

Residential living units, except for units in hotels and motels, shall not be permitted below the second floor, unless in a building allowed as a special use by the plan and zoning commission.
