City Zoning Code

CHAPTER 17

36 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS, R-1-100, R-1-75, R-1-50

17.36.010: PURPOSE:

The purpose of the R-1-100, R-1-75 and R-1-50 zones is to provide appropriate locations where low density residential neighborhoods may be established, maintained and protected. The regulations also permit the establishment, with proper controls, of public and semipublic uses, such as churches, schools, libraries, parks and playgrounds, which serve the requirements of families. The regulations are intended to prohibit those uses that would be harmful to a single-family neighborhood. (Ord. 203 §12, 1987)
