SPECIAL POLICY AREA

Sec 21-240 Purpose

Such areas shall be determined and defined on the basis of their constituting an area which is a major highway entrance into or through the town. It is the further intent of this district to accord such areas a special status which evolves from their role as an entrance to the town and therefore, a primary image of the town.

This district shall be in addition to, and shall overlap and overlay all other zoning districts within which lands placed in this district also lie, so that any parcel of land lying in the special policy area shall also lie in one or more of the other zoning districts provided for in this chapter. In the event of conflicting requirements, the more restrictive requirement or regulation shall prevail. The special policy area shall be shown on the official zoning map of the town.
