A.

Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with any of the provisions of this title, or who resists their enforcement, upon conviction shall be penalized in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1.24 of this code. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist constitutes a separate offense.

B.

If a building or structure is erected, constructed, reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted or maintained, or a building, structure or land is used in violation of this title, the city council, in addition to other remedies, may institute any appropriate action or proceedings to prevent the unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance or use, to restrain, correct or abate the violation, to prevent the occupancy of the building, structure or land, or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business or use in or about the premises.

C.

All departments, officials and employees of the city, who are vested with the duty or authority to issue permits or licenses, shall issue no such permit or license for any use, structure, or purpose if the same would not conform to the provisions of this title.
