5-103.39. Driveway

A surfaced area made of pavers or pervious/impervious concrete or asphalt designed and constructed specifically for use by motorized vehicles as a path for the vehicle to be driven across or as a location at which a vehicle could be parked or stored. The term “driveway” does not include two separate surfaced areas made of pavers or pervious/impervious concrete or asphalt intended for use as a driveway. Pervious grass grid pavers can be used for secondary parking areas located behind the front plane of the principal building, and behind the side plane of the principal building if the property is a corner lot. Secondary parking areas are those that can be removed and a vehicle can still drive into the garage from the street. See the diagrams in Figure 5-103.39 below (for illustrative purposes only), which depict the areas where grass grid pavers are not allowed (shown in red).
