The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Northfield, Illinois have determined the following: It is necessary to secure adequate light, pure air and safety from fire and other dangers. The taxable value of land and buildings throughout the municipality must be conserved. Congestion in the public streets shall be lessened or avoided. The public health, safety, comfort, morals and welfare shall otherwise be promoted, in accordance with a well-considered and Comprehensive Plan for the use and development of all property throughout the Village. The foregoing shall be accomplished while making due allowance for existing conditions, the conservation of property values, the direction of building development to the best advantage of the entire municipality and the uses to which the property is devoted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTHFIELD, ILLINOIS:

That the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Northfield shall hereafter be read as follows:
