Pf. 8B.1.- Declaration of legislative intent.

The recreation and open space (ROS) land-use category designates areas for parks and other outdoor open space areas intended for active use. Designation of an area in the ROS category signifies the expectation means that the area will continue to be put to recreation and open space use for at least five (5) years so long as it is designated "ROS". Sites designated in the ROS category shall not be used for other than the intended purposes without the approval of the Town Commission after careful consideration of the most appropriate use and a properly enacted amendment to the Town's Future Land Use Plan and Zoning Code.

Pf. 8B.2. - Permitted and special exception uses.

(a)

Permitted uses. Permitted uses in district ROS shall be only those uses related to public parks and other outdoor active uses.

(b)

Special exception uses.

(1)

Telecommunications antennas—See Article IV. of Chapter 62 for additional requirements (section 62-64 sets forth height limitations which may be exceeded by a maximum of nine and one-half percent (9.5%) if approved with the special exception).
