FEE SCHEDULE1
Editor's note— This Fee Schedule, as printed at the time of adoption of the town Code in 2010, was derived from 2003-29, Figure 1-B, and Ord. No. 2004-05, Section 2. This schedule may be revised in the future, and fee provisions should be verified with the town administrative office.
No permit shall be issued until the prescribed fee shall have been paid. No amendment to a permit shall be approved until the additional fee, if any, shall have been paid and that if any person commences any work on a building or structure, or starts any development before obtaining the necessary permit from the building official he shall be subject to a penalty of a double permit fee, which is in addition to any other penalties which may be assessed pursuant to applicable law and that the building official shall keep a permanent and accurate accounting of all permits and fees and all other monies collected. Prior to issuance of the certificate of occupancy, the owner, or agent, shall certify actual cost. This building permit shall expire exactly one year from the date if issue. The maximum of a six-month extension may be authorized by the Building and Zoning Office, upon the application thereof and a fee of $20.00 being paid by the applicant. If the work described in any building permit has not begun within six months from the date of issuance thereof, said permit shall expire; it shall be canceled by the building inspector and written notice thereof shall be given to the person affected. A copy of all building permit applications and certificates of occupancy shall be kept on file in the building office for a period of three years. A fee shall be paid at the time of issuance of a permit for all buildings, structures and developments in accordance with the following schedule:
Total Valuation:
1.
a.
For a valuation up to and including $1,000.00, the fee shall be $30.00.
b.
For valuation of $1,001.00 up to and including $50,000.00, the fee shall be $30.00 for the first $1,000.00 plus $6.50 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof.
c.
For valuation of $50,001.00 up to and including $100,000.00, the fee shall be $348.50 for the first $50,000.00 plus $5.50 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof.
d.
For valuation of $100,001.00 up to and including $500,000.00, the fee shall be $623.50 for the first $100,000.00 plus $4.50 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof.
e.
For valuation of $500,001.00 up the fee shall be $2,423.50 for the first $500,000.00, plus $3.50 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof.
f.
For the moving of any building or structure, the fee shall be $100.00.
g.
For the demolition of any structure, the fee shall be $30.00.
h.
For re-inspection when the permittee fails to have the facility open for inspection or does not have construction at the proper stage for the inspection requested, the fee shall be $100.00 for each such re-inspection, to paid before the re-inspection is made.
i.
For any event in which a permit is not posted on-site, the fee shall be $100.00.
j.
When the value of the proposed construction exceeds $10,000.00 or a plan is required to be submitted by the applicable building codes, a plan checking fee shall be paid to the building official at the time of issuance of the building permit. Said plan checking fee shall be equal to one-half of the building permit fee but in no case less than $30.00.

New structures and additions:
Four-tenths of one percent (.004) of total construction cost of single-family detached residential buildings.
Five-tenths of one percent (.005) of total construction cost of any non-detached residential buildings (multi-family, duplexes, etc.).

Actual cost of construction will be determined upon completion. Fees will be adjusted accordingly prior to issuance of certificate of occupancy.
For moving any building or structure, a fee of $100.00 will be required.
For demolition of any building or structure, a fee of $100.00 will be required.
$50.00 for interim power permit, if no building permit is issued.
$50.00 for certificate of occupancy if no permit is issued.
NOTE: Fees will be twice the amounts calculated per the above schedule when work is performed prior to obtaining the proper permit. The increased fee is in addition to any other penalties which may be assessed pursuant to applicable law.

The following fee schedule is established for property owners who want action required by the zoning board of appeals. These fees must be paid to the Town before an application is accepted by this office. If an owner wishes a variance, the fee is non-refundable, whether the variance is granted or denied. if an owner wishes to appeal a decision of the Zoning/Building Official, he will pay the same fee, however, if the Board finds in the owner's favor, the fee is then refunded. If the board finds that the zoning/building official is correct, the fee is not returned. The fee schedule shall be as follows:
