The lawful use of land or buildings existing at the time of the adoption of the ordinance codified in this title may continue although such use does not conform to the regulations specified by this title for the zone or district in which such land or buildings are located, subject to the conditions and specifications set forth in this chapter. 17.52.020: COMPLIANCE REQUIRED WHEN USE HAS CEASED:
Any nonconforming use of land or building which has ceased by discontinuance, abandonment, or removal shall thereafter conform to this title. (Ord. 44, 1977)
17.52.030: COMPLIANCE REQUIRED WHEN DESTROYED OR DAMAGED:
Any nonconforming building which has been destroyed or damaged by fire or other loss to the extent of fifty percent (50%) or more of its valuation, shall thereafter conform to this title. (Ord. 44, 1977)
17.52.040: MOVEMENT OF EXISTING USES PROHIBITED:
No nonconforming use of a building may be moved to any other part or parcel of land on which the same was conducted at the time of the adoption of the ordinance codified in this title, or to any other zoning district wherein the use would not be permitted by the terms of this title. (Ord. 44, 1977)

Nonconforming uses presently existing may continue, but any nonconforming building shall not be enlarged or extended. (Ord. 44, 1977)
